affordability, accountability & prosperity for all

Maryland house of delegates 42b

Welcome to a campaign focused on results: responsible leadership, fair costs, and opportunity that reaches every community.

why i'm running

to be your voice of reason in Annapolis

I decided to run for Delegate because I realized our state is moving in the wrong direction. I am deeply concerned for our neighbors, friends, and families across the district and throughout Maryland. I have personally known business owners who were forced to close their doors due to rising taxes, increasing fees, and an increasingly unfriendly economic climate being written into law in Annapolis.Witnessing firsthand how these policies have affected them is just one of many reasons that motivated me to answer the call to public service. Public service means your legislator listens to you, gives you their full attention, and echoes your voice in our seat of government.Another major concern is the rise in crime across our district and in areas where crime has historically not occurred at this scale. We are also facing a failure to properly fund and effectively manage our K–12 public education system across the state.Maryland is continuing down the wrong path—and it is not by accident. We must begin focusing on outcomes rather than political commentary, regardless of party control. Decades of one-party dominance in our state legislature have not delivered the results Marylanders deserve. It is time to send someone to Annapolis who will fight for the best interests of the district and the state—someone committed to balanced, accountable representation.

how did we get here?

irresponsible economic policy

Maryland doesn’t have a revenue problem — it has a spending problem. Our FY2026 budget was proposed at $67.3 billion, yet spending is already projected to rise to $70.8 billion in FY2027.

spending without limits

Maryland ranks as the 11th most indebted state, with roughly $60.63 billion in debt. While that pales in comparison to the $39 trillion national debt, it remains a serious concern. Year after year, our budgets grow while taxpayers are left footing the bill for a system that is barely breaking even.

abrasive vehicle laws

For most Marylanders, vehicles are essential—not optional. Yet costs continue to rise at an unreasonable pace. Major issues include:Emission requirements and costs that have effectively doubled.Sharp increases in registration fees for many vehicle classesChanges to historic registration classifications that burden ownersWeak enforcement against improper use of Virginia tags on Maryland vehicles

solution

become business friendly, yesterday.

The General Assembly’s recent efforts to address this issue fall short. To truly fix the problem, we must develop a comprehensive credibility package that attracts, retains and supports entrepreneurs looking to do business in Maryland.

no clear plan to pay for education in over 25 years!

no more "lock box" talk

The time for talk is over; now is the time for action. The “Kirwan Plan,” currently known as the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, is not the solution. While it has finally been funded during a budget crisis, it will take another decade to determine whether it is truly successful—if it succeeds at all.Past efforts to increase and secure education funding through ballot initiatives—such as expanding gambling and legalizing marijuana with promises to direct proceeds to education—have fallen short, as much of that revenue has gone into the general fund.At the same time, property taxes, which are intended to partially fund education, remain high and continue to rise, yet they have shown little measurable positive impact in recent years.

Expand access to trade programs and small business education in high schools to better prepare students for careers, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness.

Expand graduation requirements to emphasize common-sense, life-based skills that better prepare students for college, careers, and everyday responsibilities.

Implement a cohesive, sustainable plan to fund education without adding new debt.

solution

a new delegate to prioritize education

As your next Delegate, I will focus on restoring our education system by funding it responsibly, restructuring it effectively, and expanding opportunities for current and future students for generations to come.

our business future is bright

maryland's new economic roadmap

becoming competitive for new business creation and retaining existing business big and small.

Strategic Corporate tax overhall

expansion of grants and low-to-no interest micro loans for Maryland owned businesses.

solution

collectively bargain with legislation to improve our economy

Offsetting costs by eliminating inefficient fees and reducing targeted tax burdens will expand business activity in Maryland, leading to long-term revenue growth through filings, licensing, tax revenue and more.

preventing crime in district 42B!

to implement initiatives focused on keeping our communities safe.

reinstate the law enforcement officers' bill of rights (leobr)

Invest in recruiting and retaining law enforcement officers to strengthen public safety across the state.

pass sensible gun legislation that doesn't target law abiding citizens.

Build a unified community partnership to bring effective, visible community policing to our neighborhoods and business districts.
